PLA Needs PlayDay Volunteers

June 5th

The PLA is looking for volunteer clinicians to help with the Seventh Annual BRIDGE Girls Play Day, which will take place on June 5th.

In the past, novice lacrosse players from Philadelphia, Newark, Trenton and other urban areas came to the Play Days for a morning of clinics (rotation of skills and drills), lunch, and small games in the afternoon. Many of these players will not attend a summer camp, nor do they participate on travel teams and play in the summer tournaments.

This year four girls high school teams from the new Philadelphia public high school league will be attending the Play Day. The PLA currently has five clinicians and is in need of additional volunteers. The day begins around 9:30 am with clinic stations and the games begin after lunch. The Play Day will end by 3pm.

If you, someone you know, even mature senior or junior high school girls, would be interested, please contact Cathy D'Ignazio at your earliest convenience. Please pass this request on to any high school coaches you many know. Thank you for considering this request.
