Gen3 Wins Treinish League

Tops GMH to Win its First Summer League Title
Gen3 Marketing was finally able to win the Norm Treinish Thusday Night Lacrosse League after years of coming so close. The team, formerly JM & Co, has a core of players from Quaker Lacrosse Club coupled with some current College standouts from Drexel, Maryland, Navy and Delaware. Gen3 faced an amazing GMH team that has been at the top of the league for years. Both teams came into the game at 7-0.
Gen3 came out firing with Dan Deckelbaum getting on the board early. Additional first half goals came from Defensemen Dan Honeywell and Brett Schmidt, Attackmen Jeff Pfeffer and Colin Ambler, and again from Deckelbaum (the first right handed goal of his career). Gen3 let 6-2 at halftime and 8-4 after 3 quarters of play.
GMH was in no mood to lay down, though. They stormed back scoring 5 unanswered goals and taking a 9-8 lead. Once again if was Deckelbaum scoring for Gen3 to send the game to OT. Justin Sabol won the OT faceoff and picked up his first ever groundball, but Gen3 was unable to convert. Gen3 was able to get the ball back off a Tabasso save and pushed ahead. Clint Quedenfeld had a clean split dodge to beat his man and fed the crease. Scott Lange stuck his signature no angle behind the back to seal the victory and the celebration was on. It was a perfect ending to a perfect summer. No one was more deserving of the game winner than Lange. Thanks to GMH for an amazing game! We'll see you next summer.
