Proceeds to benefit Leukemia Lymphoma Society

Girls High School
West Chester Henderson High School
November 1, 2009

On August 15, 2008 Caroline (Care) Cranston, at 24 years old, was diagnosed with leukemia. In high school, Care played lacrosse for West Chester Henderson and continued her lacrosse career at Duquesne University. A charity tournament will be held for Care on November 1st, 2009 with proceeds given to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS).

Each year in the United States, about 2,000 children and 27,000 adults are diagnosed with leukemia. The Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS) donates 74% of its funds to cancer research and is currently funding 400 scientists worldwide.

The tournament will be held on five fields at West Chester Henderson High School, including two turf fields. Games will be 50 minutes in duration and played according to U.S. Lacrosse Women’s rules at a cost of $600 per team.
