Mountain Hawks rally but Terps notch game winner in waning seconds of the game

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team erased a five-goal deficit with seven straight goals bridging the second and third quarters, but Maryland wouldn’t go away as Joe Cummings scored with six seconds remaining to hand the Mountain Hawks a crushing 10-9 defeat, in an NCAA First Round game Sunday night. Maryland maintained possession for the game’s final 4:41 leading into the last-second score. Lehigh ends its record-breaking season at 14-3 while the Terrapins improve to 10-5.

The game came in front of a facility-record 2,278 fans and a nationally-televised audience on ESPNU and ESPN3.com.

Team Practice Sessions and Youth Clinics on Saturday!

The match ups are set for the NCAA Men's Division 1 Lacrosse Quarterfinals hosted by Drexel University at PPL Park on Sunday, May 20:

• Virginia vs Notre Dame - noon
• Colgate vs Duke - 2:30 pm

• University of Virginia will practice from 10 am to 11 am
• Virginia Autograph Session from 11 am to 11:20 am
• Colgate University will practice from 11:25 am to 12:25 am
• Colgate Autograph Session from 12:25 pm to 12:45 pm
• University of Notre Dame will practice from 12:50 pm to 1:50 pm
• Notre Dame Autograph Session from 1:50 pm to 2:10 pm
• Duke University will practice from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm
• Duke Autograph Session from 3:15 pm to 3:35 pm

There will be a Free Youth Clinic (U15 and below). The clinic will include Lacrosse Evolution staff, fastest shot and other contests with prizes. Each participant will receive a lacrosse ball that can be used at the Autograph session. The Clinic will be in two sessions:

• Session 1 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
• Session 2 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
• We have limited space at the clinics (100 players per session so all players must pre©\register, no walk up will be permitted). To preregister for the Youth Clinic, visit the Lacrosse Evolution website (please register for one session only)

  The Clinic will be held on Toyota Plaza on the West side of PPL Park, next to Parking lot B. (see map attached). On Saturday, May 19, parking is free; the Youth Clinic is free (preregistration is required). Access to the team practices and autograph sessions requires that you show your ticket for the Quarterfinals on Sunday, May 20.
